One of the world's oldest and most spectacular mountain ranges, rich in Aboriginal history and with an abundance of wildlife, this Grampians Tour is sure to leave you in awe. Depart Adelaide by 7.30 am and start the journey to a paradise for bush walkers and nature lovers. Walk to the Mac Kenzie Falls, The Balconies and the Brambuk Culture Centre

Start the day with a visit to the Brambuk Culture Centre, a building shaped like a cockatoo (brambuk). There are interesting displays, a great gift shop, a cafe and sculptures outside. Well informed we drive to our first impressive lookout - Boroka Lookout. View the spectacular Mount William Ranges and the picturesque village of Halls Gap. With only half day gone, we make our way deeper into the Grampians National Park. After our picnic lunch we walk to the Mac Kenzie Falls, which flows year-round and is one of Victoria's largest and most spectacular waterfalls. Our next stop is the Reed Lookout with views of the Victoria Valley. The Balconies, two sandstone rocks jutting from a cliff face also known as the "Jaws of Death", are another place to take in the panoramic views of this beautiful valley. It is time to head back to Halls Gap for a delicious dinner and a second night at our accommodation.

Travel to Great Western for a very special underground cellar door tour

After a hearty breakfast we go back in time and explore a little of the local history in Ararat, Stawell, Great Western and Bunjil's Cave. We begin with a visit to Seppelt Great Western Winery and enjoy a guided underground cellar door tour, which is called "The Drives". The winery was established in 1865 and more than 1.5 kilometres of underground tunnels were dug by miners for sparkling wine maturation. Our journey is taking us to Ararat where we will dig up the legacy of the Chinese miners who established Ararat during the gold rush, with a visit to the Gum San Chinese Heritage Centre. Continue to Stawell learning about the famous Stawell Gift and take in the magnificent architecture of the Victorian regional town. We finish our day with one of the most significant Aboriginal Rock Art sites in the area - Bunjil's Cave.

Grampians Wonderland - a beautiful bush walking day today

Today we head into the Grampians Wonderland with a choice of two hikes. A five hour hard return hike from our accommodation or a shorter two and half medium hike from the Wonderland car park. Either hike will leave us well rewarded with the spectacular sights they offer. If you have the the time and the legs, go for a swim at the pool, check out some local shops late afternoon or relax and stop for a drink at the hotel. We gather back together for another delicious Truely Tribal Dinner.

Tour from Halls Gap to Naracoorte Caves and back to Adelaide

You thought this Explorer Tour was finished, not quite yet. Our journey back to Adelaide will take us through some of South Australia's most beautiful country side. We travel through Horsham onto Naracoorte and it's caves, South Australia's only World Heritage site. After lunch we discover part of this ancient area. The Naracoorte Caves have an extensive fossil record teaching us the history of the past half a million years.

Our adventure is coming to an end and we continue our return travel to Adelaide arriving around 6.30 pm.
