Waking up to the calls of the wilderness today is ours to explore this ancient land of Wilpena Pound. The Flinders Ranges are home to some of the state's most fascinating natural attractions. For the serious hiker a climb to the summit of St. Mary’s Peak 1170m taking the better part of the day. Or take in one to two shorter walks and a bird’s eye view of the Pound in a small aircraft (optional flight). Sit back, relax and enjoy a sunset and a second night at the resort.

After a hearty breakfast we are heading into the far northern reaches of the Flinders Ranges. En-route to Arkaroola we stop for a walk into Chambers Gorge to view some ancient Aboriginal Art. Explore the Wooltana Cave and the Arkaroola Ochre Wall, two significant places in this National Park. The Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary is truly unique and undoubtedly South Australia’s premier eco-tourism destination. We will spend two nights at Callitris Lodge with endless mountain views.
Today could be a day filled full of highs with these optional extra’s starting with a scenic flight over the Arkroola Sanctuary or the Lake Frome flight or even the combination of the two. After lunch take in the famous Ridge Top Tour, a breathtaking tour with views of red granite mountains and golden spinifex covered hillsides, an unforgettable encounter with this timeless terrain. Or just sit back and enjoy your surrounds of the sanctuary and take one of the many bush walks available from 40 minutes to 4 hours.

A day in the saddle with stops at Lyndhurst to visit an old friend. Discover the lives and history along the Oodnadatta Track with a ghost town along the old Ghan line and lunch at Marree. See the salt pans of South Lake Eyre before we make our way to our final destination William Creek, situated on the largest cattle station in the world, Anna Creek Station.Tonight we dine out with the locals at the William Creek Pub and spend the night in the new ensuited cabins.

Get up early for a scenic flight over Lake Eyre, the largest salt lake of the Southern Hemisphere. Travel to Coober Pedy, the opal mining capital of the world. Spend the afternoon exploring an old mine and home with time to shop for Opal, Australia’s national gemstone. We dine at the award winning John’s Pizza Bar for our final night dinner and retire underground at the Lookout Cave.

On our final day we travel south along the Stuart Highway stopping for a walk onto the salt crust of Lake Hart. Take a look at the Outback town of Woomera and wander through Missile Park and gaze up in awe at rockets on display. We break at Port Augusta for lunch before heading further towards Adelaide. Arrive back in Adelaide by 6.30 pm.
